Why are bath bombs becoming more and more popular? What are these bath bombs made of and why are they gaining so much momentum? Let's explore what ingredients are used in bath bombs and what they can do for you! We'll also explore the option of adding CBD to these bath bombs and how efficient this method is for you.

Most bath bombs are very simple; they contain citric acid (the substance that makes them fizz), essential oils, and Epsom salts. Discover CBD goes a step further and adds natural herbs such as lavender, lemon & eucalyptus, and even peppermint! We add Vitis vinifera seed, or grapeseed, oil as well as the most important and vital ingredient: CBD.

So what is inside of a bath bomb? What makes them fizz and bubble?

Grapeseed oil is often used by many cosmetics and skincare products for its rich Vitamin E content. This is also why grapeseed oil is used to restructure damaged and stressed skin tissue. The CBD molecule has to bind to a fatty acid, or a fat molecule, in order for your body to process it more efficiently. We infuse our grapeseed oil with 40mg of CBD isolate and then add the oils into the bath bomb mixture. This mixture, along with the citric acid, is what makes these bath bombs fizz and dance around in your bathtub!

Many bath bombs use essential oils because they are easy to work with. Essential oils are a great way of getting some of the benefits of the plant you are deriving the essential oils from, but you will still missing some components. Here at Discover CBD, we use the entire plant instead of just the extract! Plants have so many different components that give certain plants their distinct smells, properties, and tastes. Terpenes are one of the few ingredients that are present in plants. Terpenes are what give plants their smell and taste.

Terpenes are what give plants their distinct smell and taste, along with a variety of different properties. These hydrocarbons are synthesized in the trichome glands of cannabis and other plants. They have a strong odor and may help protect the plants that produce them by repelling harmful insects and predators while also attracting beneficial organisms and pollinators. Each species of plant produces its own unique variety and concentrations of terpenes. Research has indicated the potential therapeutic uses of terpenes, and they have even been used for thousands and thousands of years by many different cultures around the world. Many essential oils, herbal medicines, and even cannabis plants rely on terpenes to provide some of the potential natural benefits they are designed for. Terpenes play an important role. When looking at terpenes that are present in certain plants, you can refer to this blog about Terpenes and their Benefits.

I personally loved the Active Lemon & Eucalyptus 40mg Bath Bomb compared to the other 2 fragrances, Lavender and Peppermint. The terpene combination found in Lemon and Eucalyptus consists of a-pinene, b-pinene, a-phellandrene, d-limonene, 1,8-cineole, camphor, sabinene, and eucalyptol. These terpenes have unique properties that may potentially aid the natural benefits of CBD. Eucalyptol is often used in many products for the purpose of allowing molecules to cross the skin barrier more efficiently. For example, CBD transdermal patches use eucalyptus oil because it allows for better absorption rates.

When you first put the bath bomb in your tub, you will notice the ingredients start to fizz and separate. You will also notice the natural herbs separating from the rest of the bath bomb. You will want to soak in the tub for at least 20-30 minutes. This will give you the most efficient method of absorption. For those who do not like to take baths, you can actually use the bath bomb as a foot soak! This is a great way to absorb as much of the CBD as possible without having to take a bath.

Each bath bomb is ONLY $9! This makes our bath bombs one of the most cost efficient and economically friendly bath bombs with 40mg of CBD pretty much anywhere. When looking around at other stores that sell 40mg CBD soaks, they run for well over $60. We also use all organic ingredients and absolutely no preservatives.

"I have never taken a bath in my life as I am a shower person. I bought one for my wife just to be a good husband but the feedback I got from my wife made me buy one for myself. I tried the Lemon & Eucalyptus 40mg Bath Bomb and I literally fell asleep right after. I have since bought more and plan on taking a bath once a week for stress relief!"
