7 Ways to Use CBD Oil Pens

Posted by Leah Concialdi on

One of the most versatile methods of consuming CBD is through a hemp oil pen. They’re portable, able to fit highly concentrated doses, and it’s easy to gauge your doses and monitor how much is left in the pen. However, for those new to concentrates, it may be a little confusing to know exactly what to do with these pens and even seasoned users might not know exactly how functional they are. Here are 7 ways to use CBD oil pens.

1.) Oral ingestion

If you need a quick burst of CBD that will hit your system quickly, you can simply squirt a little bit of the hash oil on your finger or a toothpick, put it under your tongue, and swallow. Quality hemp oils (like Active CBD Gold Oil and Green Oil) contain no fillers, preservatives, solvents, and additives and are derived from non-GMO hemp where no pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers are used. This assures safety and quality while it also allows you to take consistent doses.

2.) Put doses in capsules

If you want the same burst of CBD as oral ingestion, but have an aversion to actually tasting the oil, you can put the same dose in a organic softgel/vegetarian capsules and swallow the oil in there. The best capsules are free of toxins, made with organic materials, and do not use animal products in the process. This method is also great for this looking for a discreet way to get their daily CBD if they are at work at school.

3.) Dabs

For those who prefer smoking and want a potent burst of CBD, you can take dabs with this oil. Just as you would with any other concentrate, heat up your nail, apply the dab directly onto the nail, inhale slowly, exhale, and enjoy.

4.) Use it to make your own vape juice

Vaping is an incredible way to get your CBD. Unlike traditional smoking methods, there are no carcinogens and a little bit can go a long way making it a cost-effective methods of consumption. Although there are several quality high quality vape juices on the market, sometimes people just want to make their own with their own custom doses of CBD. All you need is CBD oil and an emix of your choice (vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol, etc). Check out this tutorial for more details and make sure to use the oil in a high quality vape pen like the G-Pen Micro starter kit.

5.) Use it to make cooking oil for baking

If you prefer to consume CBD through baked goods or using it to cook, making your own CBD-infused oil is simple. Get one gram of your favorite CBD oil, 1/3 coconut oil (or oil of your choice) and 2 cups of water. Heat the three ingredients on low for about 30 minutes and make sure it doesn’t bubble. Place the saucepan or container the mixture is transferred to in the fridge, let it sit overnight and allow the oil to rise to the top and you should have about 1/3 cup CBD oil to bake with.

6.) Use it to top a bowl

If you smoke cannabis, it can be tricky to find highly concentrated CBD strains since they are in such high demand. If you’re looking for a more potent dose of CBD, you can squeeze a little bit of hash oil onto your bowl to pack an extra punch!

7.) Add it to food or beverages

If you don’t want to go as far as making your own oil or are looking to use CBD oil as a supplement on the go, you can easily squeeze some into a morning smoothie, cup of tea, and more. Since it’s a gooey consistency, make sure to stir well or blend it into your food or beverage with a blender or food processor.
