CBG Oil
CBG is an abbreviation for the cannabinoid cannabigerol, which is considered a minor cannabinoid that is only found in smaller percentages in mature cannabis plants. In contrast at early stages of development, younger hemp plants have a significantly higher amount of CBG and researchers have discovered that CBG is a building block for all other cannabinoids to convert from thanks to the hemp plant’s natural enzymes, thus earning CBG the nickname as the mother cannabinoid. To be more precise it the acidic form of the CBG cannabinoid, cannabigerolic acid that then converts into the other acidic cannabinoids cannabidiolic acid (CBDA), tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA), cannabichromenic acid (CBCA), and all of the rest. The acidic forms then convert through a process called decarboxylation where they lose a carbon on their chain to then become their "activated" versions as we know them in their cannabinoid products as CBD, THC, CBC, and CBG.
Much like CBD, CBG is non intoxicating and most consumers share that CBG oil helps give a calming yet uplifting energy boosts and positive mood. Unlike THC, CBD and CBG do not have intoxicating effects. They are suggested to bind to the same cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2, and have similar potential health benefits, however since their molecular structure is different they also have some specific medicinal values that may be better suited for certain issues. CBG Oil for pain
Most of our customers who buy CBD oil are using it for a very wide range of issues such as reducing inflammation, intraocular pressure, various skin conditions, mood support, healthy skin, stress and digestive issues. Customers who report that CBD alone does not provide enough benefits, may choose to try CBG combined with CBD oils. Our signature water soluble formula makes it easy to add this cannabinoid directly to drinks, food or taken sublingually under the tongue.
How Much CBG Should I Take?
The CBG FAQ we get is "how much CBG oil should I take?" We have found that most of our customers take less CBG than CBD. Since this cannabinoid also directly affects your endocannabinoid system, it does take a little playing around with the dosage to find what works best for your body. We typically see customers starting off with around 2.5mg - 5mg of CBG and slowly working up until they notice full benefits. As with other cannabinoids, taking too much can be just as ineffective as taking too little.
What is Water Soluble CBG?
When you are looking to buy water soluble CBG oil near me it may be beneficial to understand what it means for a product to be water soluble and the different types of formulation to consider, as not all types are of equivalent quality. Several companies use inferior CBG water soluble formulas that revolve around using synthetic polymers and lecithin. The formulation Active CBD Oil CBG oil tincture uses for our water-soluble CBG tinctures and capsules are called colloids. Our formula combines two specific aspects to help maximize absorption; nanotechnology and encapsulation.
What is nanotechnology?
Anything measured in nanometers, or 10^-9 meters, meaning 1/1,000,000,000 meters, is considered nanoscale. For CBG water soluble products, this typically is in reference to the delivery mechanism’s particle size. With CBG, these are droplets suspended in fluid, which are completely different from solid nanoparticles also referred to as nanotechnology. To compare sizes, colloid CBG nanotechnology (the type Active CBD uses) has particle diameters of less than 1000 nm, while the average human cell is approximately 25,000 nm in diameter.
What is encapsulation?
It is commonly discussed by scientific professionals that encapsulated CBG water soluble formulas are some of the most fascinating forms of nano CBG oil products regarding biological delivery. To put it simply, the CBG molecules are packaged inside a “bubble” which consists of a hydrophilic (water-like) exterior with a hydrophobic (fat-like) interior. This essentially produces a very fine emulsion, where all the tiny bubbles disperse evenly throughout the solution. A few examples of emulsions in biology would be milk, blood, and egg yolks.
These encapsulated CBG products are deemed by researchers to be some of the best absorbing CBG formulas, and particularly when they are swallowed. A few CBG water soluble benefits would include providing increased bioavailability over swallowed oil-based CBG. However one drawback is that these all require additional ingredients known as surfactants to be included into the formulation of the water soluble CBG product. One prominent example of a surfactant is soap, as it allows lipids like fats and oils to be dissolved into the water by route of an emulsion, which therein allows the lipids to be rinsed away while washing. An important distinction to make is that using all natural ingredients as surfactants for water soluble organic CBG oil is completely possible and we do it with our formula. A downside however is that surfactants may create difficulties to formulate as they can cause an increased bitter taste of the broad spectrum water soluble CBG extract when it is used in giant batches at a time.
There are plenty of different methods that exist for encapsulating CBG to make a nano CBG oil. The main differences will be between the “shell” that surrounds the CBG molecules and the actual size of the “bubble.” Each unique configuration can influence the amount of cannabinoids that can be packaged inside. Micelles contain a single layer membrane (shell), but most are normally too large and unstable to be used in CBG Oil water soluble products. Alike to the membrane configuration of plant and animal cells, Liposomes consist of a bilayer membrane with water packaged inside. However due to a water interior, these are limited in their ability to deliver cannabinoids.
Colloid Nano CBG formulas
The diameter of micelle for colloids technology is within the nanometer size range, between 1-1000 nm, producing a combination of benefits from both technologies. These colloids consist of a single membrane encapsulating an oil-like hydrophobic interior. Colloids are considered to have a better ratio of the oil interior to surfactant ratio compared to lecithin based liposomes. Which implies that since this tincture is water soluble, more CBG can be packaged inside while requiring fewer ingredients using colloids. This formulation is currently the most advanced and effective CBGwater soluble drops option on the market. Colloids are suggested to bypass the rate-limiting step of oil-based cannabinoid absorption in the digestive tract, increasing bioavailability or the percentage of CBG actually taken into our endocannabinoid system and the rate of absorption.
These colloid Nano CBG hemp oil formulas absorb more efficiently since the hydrophobic, or water insoluble, cannabinoid is unable to effectively cross the intestinal membrane by itself, which has a coating of water preventing absorption. In general our bodies must break down ingested lipids (fats and oils) using bile salts into micelles first before they can then be absorbed across the intestinal lining. To absorb cannabinoids after being swallowed, they will need to be packaged into these micelles prior to absorption which is typically a slow biological process. The idea of ingesting a high fat meal to aid in cannabinoid absorption is to package cannabinoids like CBG into the micelles naturally so that the body absorbs the cannabinoid faster and with more ease. The water soluble broad spectrum CBG formulas have already packaged the CBG into micelles, so another one of CBG water soluble benefits would include that they are readily absorbable without the body's natural processing having to occur before absorbing the CBG, or needing a high lipid based or fatty meal for the micelle packaging to aid absorption.
CBG Water Soluble
We have scientific research comparing the bioavailability of oil based delivery to our nano water soluble organic CBG oil formulas. To be completely transparent, the studies used hydrophobic molecules other than CBG, however once packaged inside the colloids, the delivery mechanism is the same. There have also been similar results that also have been demonstrated via four pharmacokinetic studies delivering four hydrophobic molecules with similar increases in absorption rates. Each one tested showed nearly seven times peak concentration levels and indicated overall bioavailability for our water soluble delivery mechanism increased five times compared to the oil based delivery mechanism, i.e. an MCT oil solvent formulation. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19284181
In the image above, the line shown in yellow is CBG water soluble, and the delivery mechanism used for our Active CBD Oil products. The red-line would be similar to bioavailability based in oil, such as the MCT tinctures. Green and blue lines are two other commercially available water-soluble formulas.
CBD CBG Oil
When exploring different types of CBG oil for sale, generally both CBD and CBG oil products will fall into one of three categories of how they are made between Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and CBG isolate. In actuality the molecular structure of the CBG is still the same and therefore will have the same potential benefits however it is more in consideration of what other parts of the hemp plant are included with the CBG.
CBG full spectrum oil
Water Soluble Full spectrum CBG oil means that it is a water soluble product made utilizing the full cannabis plant extract including all of its active plant compounds such as a hundred plus different cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and amino acids that are all suggested to have their own potential benefits. Full spectrum CBG and CBD oils will have trace amounts of delta 9 THC with less than 0.3 THC which while is not enough to produce any psychoactive effects any amount of THC in your bloodstream may run the risk of showing up on a drug screen. Many studies suggest that when CBG is combined with these other cannabinoids and terpenes it works more effectively by creating what is called the entourage effect as all the individual parts work together in a synergistic way.
Broad Spectrum CBG Oil
Broad spectrum CBG is nearly identical to full spectrum CBG except that it has been filtered to remove the THC by using a process called chromatography while keeping the rest of the plant compounds intact. This is the perfect option for anyone looking to gain the entourage effect with their CBG while ensuring that their product is also THC free. Generally most full spectrum and broad spectrum CBG tinctures will have a more earthy and bitter hemp flavor. This is why we offer some great tasting natural flavor options for our 300 mg broad spectrum water soluble CBG tinctures that may help cover up some of the natural flavor. We often hear many people put their water soluble CBG drops into a drink like coffee or tea to best disguise the taste of the broad spectrum extract.
Pure CBG Oil
The last category of CBG isolate will mean that it is just pure CBG completely removed from the rest of the hemp plant. This makes it the safest option for people who may have drug screen concerns, however consumers using an isolated CBG product will miss out on the entourage effect. However if you are looking for a high potency of CBG oils you can easily infuse CBG isolate powder into a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil to make your own CBG tincture.
Ingredients breakdown
Vegetable Glycerin
Vegetable Glycerin is an odorless, sweet syrup like liquid and a type of carbohydrate called a polyol or sugar alcohol and that is made by heating vegetable fats under pressure or together with a strong alkali. Glycerin is commonly used as an ingredient in a vast variety of beverages and food products in order to help add sweetness, smoothness and texture, retain moisture, and prevent sugar crystallization.
Purified Water
Having a high quality product is of utmost importance and choosing safe and sanitary ingredients is a vital step in this. That is why we choose to use purified water as it has been filtered to remove impurities such contaminants and other chemicals.
ACTIVE CBG OIL™
This is our patented formula of our Broad Spectrum CBG Oil that uses necessary ingredients to make our products water soluble and increase the bioavailability to its maximum. Let’s explore what a few of these other key ingredients are in this formula:
Medium Chain Triglycerides
More commonly known as its abbreviated form of MCT oil, this naturally occurring substance is found and derived from both palm kernel oil, coconut oil, and olive oil. All of our MCT oils are sourced from palm kernel oil to clarify for anyone that has any allergy restrictions. Triglycerides are what makes up most of the body fat found in mammals. In contrast to long-chain triglycerides, MCT is easier for our body to break down the saturated fatty acids. Since MCTs are water soluble they are absorbed faster with less chances of it to be stored in fat tissue. When you ingest MCT it passes through the stomach and is directly absorbed from our intestine into the liver where it can be then converted into fuel for our body. There are several studies looking at MCTs potential for helping out heart, brain, and gut health.
VEDD (Vitamin E Dimer Derivative)
Rather than existing as one single entity, Vitamin E is a collective term given to a group of essential lipid-soluble compounds that are only obtained from our diet by ingesting vegetable oils. There are eight naturally occurring forms of Vitamin E, known as its dimer derivatives including the alpha, beta, gamma and delta classes of tocopherol and tocotrienol. Scientific studies have concluded that VEDD has demonstrated antioxidant properties and shown to be an effective counter agent against conditions related to oxidation such as arthritis, aging, cataracts, and cancer.
Monoglycerides and Diglycerides
Both of these glycerides are fundamentally used as surfactants to help the process for our proprietary water soluble emulsified CBG formulations. They are both commonly added to commercial food products in small amounts in order to prevent oil and water ingredients from separating.
Fatty Acids
As we discussed previously, fatty acids are suggested to aid in the overall absorption of CBG CBD oil into our endocannabinoid system by packaging the cannabinoid into micelles naturally so our body can absorb CBG easier and faster.
