Valentine's Day Chocolate!

Did you know chocolate can raise your levels of endogenous cannabinoids? You do now! Dark chocolate is not only rich with antioxidants, it also contains phytochemicals that raise the level of the cannabinoid known as anandamide. Anandamide has also been referred to as the “bliss chemical". This naturally found cannabinoid is found in the human brain and nervous system and plays a key role in overall feeling well. And with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I thought it would be a good idea to get spirits up and for everyone to know how to make their own CBD Chocolates! Whether you want to make your own chocolate or your own chocolate dipping concoctions, this recipe is a must make! You can also add CBD chocolate to your favorite chocolate recipes! This recipe is simple and can easily make just enough chocolate for you or can be used to plan a whole party around it.

Total Prep: 15min

Cook time: Refrigerate for 1 hour or until solid

Infusing the CBD isolate: Dosing is completely up to you, but if you are looking for somewhere to start, adding a whole gram of this Active CBD oil 99% isolate will equal almost 1000mg of CBD. Half a gram would be around 500mg of CBD and so on. First things first, you are going to Double boil your oil of choice. (either butter or coconut oil is what the recipe calls for) Let boil with Isolate added for about 15minutes, then move onto the next steps.

Making the chocolate

  • Double boil ½ cup coconut oil or butter, and then add
    • ½ Cup Cocoa Powder
    • ½ Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
    • Optional Steps
      • Sweeteners
        • Honey 3-5 Table spoons,
        • Raw cane sugar ¼ cup
      • Add extras (nuts,berries etc)
    • Refrigerate for 1 hour

Already bought some of your favorite chocolate to use? No problem!

  • Simply add the chocolate to the ½ cup of coconut oil or butter. Mix in chocolate until desired consistency! (Generally being about a ½ oil to 1 Cup of Chocolate)

Turning the Chocolate into a dipping sauce!

  • Melt chocolate and add heavy whipping cream
  • 1-2 cups heavy whipping cream, depending on desired consistency
  • This is where it gets fun! Add some of your favorite ingredients to the chocolate!
    • Consider adding : Chopped nuts, cinnamon, coconut, peanut butter, orange zest, berries, raisins or even cayenne or chili pepper!
