December 09, 2019The holiday season can go by quickly and this year will likely be no exception. With everything there is to think about and plan for missing a shipping deadline can be a disaster. We have complied some dates to pay attention to this year for those who plan to ship gifts.
Please keep in mind these dates are issued from each individual company and are estimates not a guarantee of delivery. This information is meant to be used for planning purposes and is not a definitive list. We have also provided links to each carrier's website for a more in-depth look at their guidelines.
These are the three major carriers' recommended send-by dates for expected delivery by Dec. 25:
U.S. Postal Service (USPS)
Dec. 14: USPS Retail Ground shipments
Dec. 18: Alaska to mainland First-Class Mail
Dec. 19: Hawaii to mainland Priority Mail and First-Class Mail
Dec. 20: First Class
Dec. 21: Priority Mail; Also deadline for Alaska and Hawaii to the mainland through Priority Mail Express
Dec. 23: Priority Mail Express
