Tips on Purchasing CBD

The world of cannabidiol, or CBD, is seemingly becoming more popular in the mainstream media. That's great news for the companies involved, and even better for the consumer, as CBD is now legal in all 50 states! However, there is always a downside for products in any industry becoming popular in the mainstream media. Products start to come out of the woodwork with exaggerated claims, counterfeit products, and a huge letdown to consumers. Here a few tips to help you know exactly what you're buying before you purchase the product.

The first question most people ask about is the potency. How much CBD is in the product, and how much is in each dose? The answer will vary from product to product, and everyone will react differently to the size of the dose. Some will prefer a product like the Active CBD Extra Strength Tincture, which is 300 mg of CBD in a 1 ounce bottle with 10 mg of CBD per dropper full. However, other consumers might want or need more CBD, and they might instead go for the new, stronger Active CBD Extra Strength Tincture which is 900 mg of CBD in a 2 ounce bottle with 3.3 mg of CBD per dropper full. You kind of have to play around with the dosage until you find the right amount for you. One thing to make sure of is exactly how much CBD is in each product, sometimes products will say 300 mg, but does not specify that the 300 mg is CBD or if it's hemp oil, leaving you in the dark about how much CBD is actually getting into your system. Make sure to read the product facts thoroughly before purchasing.

A big question asked is how is the hemp grown? Was it an indoor or outdoor facility? Most of today's hemp products come from outdoor facilities, which are much more natural, with little to no pesticides, fungicides, soil amendments, or fertilizers. Indoor grows tend to use more of these things, and a lot of power and water is used when you have an indoor grow, which in turn hurts the environment and potentially the consumer. Active CBD Oil gets all of their hemp from various outdoor grows in Southern Colorado, and makes sure each farm refrains from using pesticides and other things that may be harmful to the consumer.

There are a few different ways to process CBD and other hemp oils, but the safest and most eco-friendly way of processing is by CO2 extraction. Other extraction processes use propane or butane which puts the consumer and the environment at risk. The extraction process is very important in figuring out what product to use. All products through Active CBD are extracted through CO2 making it as natural as possible.

One of the biggest and best questions to ask is, "Are there 3rd party lab results?" Many companies will have these for their products, but you have to ask for them. Also, they'll send you an email with the 3rd party lab results, but there's no way for you to be able to match the product you have with the lab results given to you. At Active CBD Oil, we don't just want you to ask about the 3rd party lab results, we encourage it! In fact, on each individual package, there is a QR code and batch number that you can scan on your phone and actually match the exact data to the product in your hand!

There are a lot of different products out there and it's hard to tell up from down sometimes, but if you follow these steps and do your homework, the likelihood of getting duped should significantly decrease.
