Over the course of the last few months, the internet has been buzzing with speculation of the DEA potentially rescheduling marijuana from a Schedule I to Schedule II drug on July 1, 2016. Whether or not this happens is still up in the air. In a groundbreaking move, the United States Congress has decided to allow veterans to discuss cannabis as a treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic pain, and other ailments with their Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA) doctors in states that have legalized medical marijuana.
