Are you new to the CBD world? Have you already started your journey by taking some kind of CBD oil? But what should one expect when they start taking CBD? Is this similar to Marijuana? Should you take it everyday? These are common questions our customers ask when deciding if CBD is right for them. It is definitely a good idea to get as much information from the manufacturer as possible. Let's take a look at why CBD is much more personalized than most people think and why everyone gets a different result.
Your Unique Endocannabinoid System
Every living mammal on Earth has an endocannabinoid system. This natural system is so unique it is almost like a fingerprint for every mammal on Earth. Birds have it, dogs have it, even humans have it. Our naturally developed endocannabinoid system is actually responsible for regulating and keeping balance of the body. This system also allows mammals the ability to create natural cannabinoids. Yep, that's right! All mammals have naturally occurring cannabinoids all throughout their body. The endocannabinoid system is what allows our bodies to regulate sleep, mood, anxiety, eating habits, etc. This system is also the reason why we can benefit from CBD, THC and other cannabinoids. It is widely believed that this is the reason so many people are claiming CBD has been able to help them with the wide variety of issues reported. Independent Lifestyle Choices
I have to change my lifestyle?! Not really. Independent lifestyle choices just refers to regularly working out, stretching, slowing down on fast foods and other foods that are unhealthy, etc. You don't necessarily have to change everything about your lifestyle. I still eat a few donuts here and there! We have noticed that customers who work out regularly and stretch seem to find the best overall physical results while those who regularly monitor their foods noticed increased mental capacity and overall mental health. The endocannabinoid system is so interlinked with the rest of our body that physical activity as well as what we eat can also affect the results you are getting. You don't have to look up Jason Momoa's workout routine or join that really expensive gym, just a few minutes of physical activity per day does make a pretty big difference. Once you start, you might even find out you actually like working out! (that happened to me) Same thing with stretching! You do not need to commit to hours of yoga (it is pretty fun, though) but 10 or 15 minutes of basic stretching every morning/evening can also make a pretty big difference. Now, fast foods; that's the biggest sacrifice I've had to make because I love eating out. Making your own foods at home with quality ingredients has a bigger impact on your overall health than you think! Substituting that lettuce in your burger with some spinach or kale doesn't really taste that different and will make a bigger impact down the road.
Patience With A little Trial & Error
CBD is not going to work for everyone the very first day. That is a known fact. CBD affects everyone so differently it is impossible for any two people to get the exact same results. Our unique endocannabinoid systems are wired so differently that we get such a wide variety of results. This is why you hear everyone talking about CBD and how it has helped them, even though everyone has a vastly different issue to report. The hardest part of using CBD that all of our customers have reported would be finding the dose that works for you and sticking to what works. This takes a lot of patience and little bit of trial and error. CBD seems to work on a "Bell Curve" so you want to start as low as you can and gradually increase to what works best for you. On a bell curve, you basically start on a low dose with very minimal effects and slowly increase your dose until you find your optimal level of benefits. If you keep taking higher doses of CBD after you have found you "optimal dose" then you start to get less results. You then end up with the same results as if you took too little of a dose of CBD. This is due to your body not being able to absorb all of the CBD you are initially giving it, almost like a multi-vitamin, and the rest gets wasted. So you definitely want to make sure you start on a low dose and gradually work your way up accordingly.
