With summer in full swing and the temperature rising it is important to stay hydrated while out and about! Try this CBD infused lavender lemonade to quench your thirst and keep cool this summer.
This recipe is a mixture of our own spin and Becky Hardin at The Cookie Rookie's recipe for lavender lemonade!
CBD Infused Lavender Lemonade Recipe
Ingredients:
6 Cups Water
½ Cup Sugar
¼ Cup Honey or Agave
1 Gram Active CBD Oil Isolate Powder (1000mg of CBD)
2 Cups Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
4 Tablespoons of Dried Lavender*
Lemons for Garnish
Several Cups of Ice
*Make sure to buy food safe lavender from an herbal shop or grocery store and not lavender used for decoration!
Directions:
Step 1: Combine 2 cups water with ½ cup sugar and 1 gram Active CBD Oil Isolate Powder in a pot and bring to medium heat. Stir periodically until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 2: When sugar is dissolved turn off heat and add ¼ cup honey or agave and stir until dissolved. Add 4 tablespoons of dried lavender to the mixture and cover. Let steep for 2 hours, less or more depending on how much lavender flavor is desired.
Step 3: Strain lavender CBD mixture, after steeping, into a large pitcher of your choosing over several cups of ice.
Step 4: In the large pitcher, combine the 2 cups of lemon juice and remaining 4 cups of water with the lavender CBD mixture and stir to combine.
Step 5: Wash and cut thin slices of lemons and add to the mixture and add more ice as needed. Pour over ice in your favorite cup and enjoy!
