Discover CBD is heading east with our latest franchise location opening in the heart of downtown Dadeland, across the street from the Dadeland Mall! Veterinary nurse Shevonne Dominguez is the store owner and she says CBD is something she was first exposed to with animals at the veterinary practice where she worked.
“In my field, I have seen how CBD used on animals has helped them greatly. I began to do the research and felt that I could provide a service for people to have access to CBD for their personal use to help with a variety of conditions,” she said.
Dominguez is a self-proclaimed animal lover and a people person who wanted her Discover CBD location to be in the heart of the vibrant community. She said she wanted to bring CBD to those who need it and who may not have heard of the potential benefits.
“I am very excited about showing my friends and family all the hard work I have put into my store to make it a welcoming place where people can buy CBD products,” Dominguez said.
She did not take the decision to open a Discover CBD location lightly. Dominguez has struggled with her own health issues related to the stress of her veterinary career and she turned to CBD as a way to help alleviate some of those concerns.
“Due to the strenuous demands of my job, I have injuries to my wrists and elbows. I also suffer from back and feet pain. Using topical CBD ointments have helped me greatly. Since I work in emergencies, the stress I endure on a daily basis is monumental. The CBD gel capsules help me relax after a long day at work,” explains Dominguez.
Arguably 2020 has been an extremely difficult time to navigate opening a new business. With changing regulations and requirements due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in addition to the traditional stresses of securing proper permits and other requirements it is a wonder that anyone can successfully open their doors. Dominguez says those challenges have made her stronger as a business owner.
“My store will stand out from all other CBD stores due to the relaxing atmosphere. This will be a place anyone can come and hang out while they browse through a variety of CBD products. I feel this store will have a great impact on my community by making CBD accessible to those who greatly need it,” she said.
