What are Active’s full-spectrum oils?
A full-spectrum oil refers to a product that contains more of the parent plant than solely isolated CBD. That is, it will have more of the inherent cannabinoids, including THC, amino acids, lipids, chlorophyll, vitamins, and terpenes all working with the CBD molecules. A “broad spectrum” product will contain said compounds but will lack the THC cannabinoid that completes the spectrum, hence “full spectrum”.
I’ve heard full-spectrum mentioned, but how is it different than isolate?
Full-spectrum will differ from CBD isolate primarily in that it will essentially be a liquid version of its base plant, where as isolate has been conveniently reduced to nothing more than pure CBD. This is significant because for some users, the CBD compound’s ability to work with the other cannabinoids present in broad and full-spectrum products promotes the potential for a more effective response. For example, a common approach to pain management using cannabis is to use both THC and CBD. THC because of its ability to bind to the CB1 and CB2 receptors responsible for neuron impulses within the central and peripheral nervous system. This bonding process results in a deadening of the pain receptors found in mammalian tissues. By the same token, however, it can trigger increased anxiety as a result of the loss of cognition also associated with common pain treatments. The introduction of CBD into the equation results in some of the CB1 and CB2 receptors being “occupied” by CBD molecules instead of THC. That balance will equate to a more even diffusion of both CBD and THC into the system which achieves pain mitigation effects while keeping any potential anxiety at bay.
Is there any REAL difference between the Green and Gold label?
The short answer is, yes. The primary difference is that the green label is a FULL-spectrum product containing trace amounts of THC, while the gold oil is BROAD-spectrum because it lacks THC. Neither product is more effective than the other, rather, it’s that different people with different conditions find results with different products.
