My Experience with Delta 8 THC Cartridges

Researchers have discovered around 110 cannabinoids within hemp so far, with Delta 9 THC and CBD being the two most popular. With time researchers continue to discover more cannabinoids, and even take more in-depth looks at others. One of those newly popularized cannabinoids is Delta 8 THC (Δ8 THC), which has a few notable similarities to its sibling Delta 9 THC. Both Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC can be intoxicating, and much like CBD and Δ9 THC, there are various ways to take Δ8 THC, from tinctures to edibles to vaping and smoking. I’ve tried a few different methods of consuming Δ8 THC, and my favorite is by far vaping it. I use the Strain Snobs Delta 8 THC cartridges -- which come in two different flavors with unique terpene contents.

Delta 8

The two different “flavors” of the Strain Snobs Delta 8 Cartridges are based on the two cannabis strains: OG Kush and Grand Daddy Purps. These two unique flavors are made using the terpenes found in each strain, which give the cartridges similar flavor profiles to the original strains themselves. Some research indicates that different terpenes may actually have potential benefits and properties, so some people find that they prefer one strain over the other based on effects as well as flavor. Personally, I found the biggest differences to be flavor. OG Kush has a light fruity flavor, whereas the GDP has a very piney earthy flavor. My personal preference was the fruity presence in the OG Kush.

Not only was the flavor amazing

Not only was the flavor amazing, but I found the cartridges to produce amazing clouds when vaping them. They also seemed to hit my throat quite a bit less harshly than a fully smokeable product like flower. This may be due to the fact that I prefer to take small puffs over large puffs, to be lighter on my throat and lungs. I find due to these smaller puff sizes, too, that effects last anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour for myself, though everyone will experience different levels and lengths of intoxication.

Compared to traditional

Compared to traditionalΔ9 THC, Δ8 THC felt like a very similar intoxication experience. This was most noticeable my first time using it, though as I built a tolerance the effects from D8 THC seem much more dulled compared to D9 THC. In addition to the dulled down effects, I didn’t feel nearly as sleepy with these vape cartridges as I do if I vape or smoke D9 THC, which I really appreciated. Again, it’s common for everyone to experience different results and it is imperative to not drive after taking Delta 8 THC or Delta 9 THC

Delta 8 THC or Delta 9 THC

I really enjoyed adding the Delta 8 THC cartridges to my arsenal of hemp-derived products. I have found in many ways that I thrive when using cannabinoids, specifically CBD and Δ9 THC to manage pain and mental health struggles I face daily. With Δ8 THC specifically, aside from the fun of intoxicating effects, I noticed it helped me a lot whenever I experienced nausea. Research is of course still new on Delta 8 THC, but some studies indicate that this cannabinoid may help to treat nausea in pediatric oncology.

With more research, we’ll learn so much more about Delta 8 THC, and it’s fascinating to think that a year ago few people had even heard of this cannabinoid. I’ve become quite fond of it myself, especially when vaping it. If you’re interested in learning more about Delta 8 THC or possibly buying it yourself, feel free to talk to an employee here at DiscoverCBD either online or in one of our stores!
