Cannabis as a whole has been prohibited since the 1940’s.It also became the major target of the global war on drugs in 1970. Hemp is now federally legal, but it hasn’t always been that way. Centuries ago hemp and marijuana were widely used for industrial and therapeutic purposes. It was also used for spiritual purposes. But what is the history of CBD? How long have people been using this cannabinoid? Why did it become legal in the first place?
