5 Reasons to try CBD

Posted by Leah Concialdi on

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is a cannabinoid found in cannabis that is non-psychoactive. It’s found its way to the limelight due to several medical claims of it being able to alleviate symptoms in a variety of conditions ranging from epilepsy to cancer to anxiety.

Despite the research surrounding CBD, many folks are still hesitant to try CBD because of various misconceptions. Some think because it’s found in marijuana that it will get you high. Others think it’s illegal.

The following blog will clear up some of these claims and outline reasons why you should try CBD.

 1.) It’s legal in all 50 states!

On almost a daily basis, we have inquiries on everything from DiscoverCBD.com social channels to email outreach wondering if the products that we carry are legal. There’s no reason to fret because hemp CBD oil is not affected by any kind of restriction. Medical marijuana is legal in over half of the United States and hemp research is just now coming out of the woodwork and many states are lifting its prohibition. A lot of CBD products are also grown and extracted in Europe, imported into the states, and can be sold and distributed 100% legally. If you’re worried about getting in trouble or breaking the law, it is a complete non-issue when it comes to naturally occurring CBD in hemp oil.

2.) You won’t get high

Although many CBD users seek out CBD-rich medical marijuana strains to balance the effects of both CBD and THC, CBD within itself does not get you high. Many people are weary of trying CBD because of this misconception and think it will distract from their daily routine. There are copious amounts of studies that cite that CBD may be beneficial with for children with epilepsy, yet parents are hesitant to try it because of the false pretenses that it will get you “high.” CBD derived from hemp has absolutely no psychoactive compounds and you cannot get high!

3.) Quality control

As we’ve outlined in previous blogs, it is important to be aware of where your CBD comes from. With many websites claiming it to be a “miracle” and research being young, it is important to understand that everybody is different and may not have the same outcome. Although CBD is relatively new, the US has put rules and regulations into lace to protect users from contaminated products or pesticide usage in cultivation. While DiscoverCBD cannot speak on behalf of every company out there, we can ensure that our products are tested by our staff and we seek out only the highest quality products. Our customer service is our bottom line, so we actively encourage anyone and everyone to reach out with any questions at info@discovercbdcom.

4.) You don’t need a doctor’s recommendation

We’ve received inquiries where people reach out asking if they need a medical marijuana license to obtain CBD products. Often times people don’t want to deal with the hassle of getting one, may be concerned with employment stipulations, or simply don’t live in a state where medical marijuana is legal. The good news is you don’t need a card or license to buy DiscoverCBD products. There are no hoops to jump through and we treat it just as any nutritional supplement like vitamins are minerals.

5.) The choices are nearly endless!

We cannot stress enough that everybody is different. Some people will require a higher dosage of CBD whether it is metabolism, body structure, or beyond. We take great pride in offering products in different strengths and intake methods. If you are experiencing chronic pain, we have received reviews that our topical products do wonders. If you looking to get your daily dose on the go, we have oils and tinctures that you can simply mix in a smoothie or meal for your daily commute or lunch break. We encourage you to explore our online store and reach out with any questions!
