Valentines Day Recipe: CBD Infused Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Looking to make something unique for your partner this Valentine's Day? We've all heard of chocolate covered fruit as a must have on this holiday, but how about spicing things up by incorporating some CBD? This recipe is delicious and easy to make!
This recipe will make each strawberry about 35-40mg of CBD. You can always add more chocolate (dilute mixture), or use less CBD Isolate to change the mg content of your strawberries!

Total Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: Total of 1 hour refrigeration to cool

What You'll Need:

  • 16 ounces milk chocolate chips
  • 2 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil/shortening
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries with leaves (or any fruit of your choice)
  • 1 Gram (about 1000mg) Active CBD Oil Isolate Powder
  • Sheet of wax paper

I am going to be using strawberries as well as bananas, and canola oil instead of shortening to thin out my melted chocolate.

First, using a double boiling method, melt the milk chocolate chips with 1 1/2 tablespoons of canola oil. Once the chocolate is a smooth liquid texture it is ready to be dipped into! You can pick the strawberries up by the leaves (or to make things a little easier, I like to skewer the strawberries/bananas with toothpicks and handle them that way) and dip them right into the melted milk chocolate, then lay them down onto a sheet of wax paper and set in the fridge for 15-30 minutes to cool and harden.

Next, using a double boiling method, mix in the gram of Active CBD Isolate Powder with the white chocolate chips and 1/2 (7ml) tablespoon of canola oil, stirring frequently to evenly disperse the CBD powder. Once it is fully dissolved, drizzle 2.5ml or 1/2 teaspoon (for accurate dosing) onto each strawberry. Each strawberry will yield 35-40mg of CBD. Set in the fridge to cool for about another 30 minutes and then they will be ready to devour!

Feel free to switch things up by using our Active CBG Isolate Powder in place of CBD Isolate Powder! What is CBG? CBG is a rare molecule found within cannabis, similarly to CBD it is non-psychoactive.

When ingesting CBD in an edible form, it typically takes about 45 minutes to enter the blood stream since it has to travel through the digestive system, but it lasts about 10-12 hours. That being said, feel free to use this recipe to chocolate coat pretzels, nuts, graham crackers, or anything you can come up with!
